A good site like craigslist, for firearms?
Ive only found a couple junk sites where no one is really offering anything, and nothing is current.
Does anyone know a site that operates sorta like craigslist, where you can barter, trade, sell, buy guns, with those in your local area? Thanks, |

Out in the NW we have "Little Nickel" - which is an old school want/sell newspaper, also online.
I would imagine that every area has something similar - look at your local 7-11 or the like for a newspaper that is similar for your area. There are also firearms forums that have regional sub-forums. think that "The high Road" has one - I don't frequent many of them - so maybe this will spark with someone around here who does. |

I use texasguntrader. If you're in Texas check it out. I've had a lot of success there.

If you don't live in Texas there is always the firearms listing sections on Glock Talk, The High Road, and The Firing Line. Glock Talk's classified section is the largest of the previous three. |

I don't know much about other states' laws. I can't see an issue with purchasing a gun in another state via private party though - but bringing it back and not registering it, if your state requires it, would be the issue I'm guessin.
I also do not know if the state you would do the PPT - woudl require both parties to be state residents....some folks selling ask to take down or at least see a DL # of the person they are selling to - never know - might want to clarify before meeting up. Typically private party sales at gun shows have a hefty premium (but private party sales via "want adds" are often the best pricing) - if you had to come back into your state to register it - it would jsut end up being a hassle, cost you more and not having any real benefit (that I can see). |

Yo Rebel Yarr,
Here's a couple good ones for PNW: http://www.northwestfirearms.com/forum/index.php http://www.outdoorstrader.com/ Local newspaper classifieds too like http://www.oregonlive.com/ "Sporting Goods" section. Oh, and Craig's List too. Gotta check often because their ads get pulled quick! The Firearm/Ammo panic is over and people are starting to sell stuff now... |
Re: A good site like craigslist, for firearms?
Most states will have a reasonably large shooters forum that has a classifieds section.
I'm in AZ, so I hang out on arizonashooting.com In FL, they have, floridashootersnetwork.com Ohio probably has something similar. There is also the Equipment Exchange on ar15.com |

And FWIW, there's a good deal currently available for a SAR-4800, which is as good as it gets with respect to all forged, arsenal built FALs built under license from FN on FN tooling and not surplus parts kits. Also check out http://www.akfiles.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=5 |
